Golden Spike Anniversary

Last Saturday, May 10, we went up to Promontory, Utah and attended the anniversary celebration of the Golden Spike. The kids had a great time watching the steam engines and listening to the history of the railroad. They learned what the train whistles stand for and, of course, I had to buy a whistle for myself.

Ken's friend from work, Erik, came with us to see the Utah sites. He's from Georgia (if I remember correctly) and is trying to see what he can while he's here.

It was a really fun and relaxing day for us all.
